DAY 1

The trip starts at the port, where we will pick you up in a motorized boat and travel for 20 minutes along the Napo River, the largest affluent of the Amazon River. On the way to APU-NAPO Ecolodge, we will see a protected native forest, and just before the arrival, you will spot a millennial tree, a colossal CEIBO. The staff will welcome you with a natural Amazonian energized drink, the Guayusa. Your spacious rooms are assigned, and the local guide will give you instructions just before lunch. APU-NAPO Ecolodge. Here we will be greeted with a welcome cocktail of Guayusa, which is a native and energizing plant. The spacious rooms are assigned and the local guide will give us instructions.

Night Walk in the Jungle: A unique sensory experience.

This day you will appraise nature differently. The sounds of the jungle will flood your senses, as the sound of monkeys, owls, birds, frogs, and some insects will make you feel their presence. With a clear sky, you can observe more stars than ever, and surely you can ask for several wishes at the shooting stars. After dinner, you will be able to enjoy the traditional Scorpio-shot or another traditional cocktail in our bar, accompanied by the stunning sound of nature, the moon, and the stars.

DAY 2

In the early morning, you may be able to observe from your balcony the monkeys that come to visit. After breakfast, you will see a Kichwa community, an original nationality from the Ecuadorian Amazon. Here they will show us their way of life and how they coexist with the forest. We will know the native system they use to produce their food, named Chakra Ancestral, which the United Nations has recognized as an Important System of the World Agricultural Heritage. Furthermore, we will know the tree that provides the tastiest cocoa in the world.

Indigenous peoples: Protectors of forests and their fauna.

In this community, we will know the Yaku Napo lagoon that the Indigenous Peoples protect. Here we can observe turtles and caimans in their natural habitat.
After lunch, we board towards the freshwater beach on the shores of the Napo River, where you will admire the beauty of being in the heart of the Amazon while taking a bath if you wish. After some time at the beach, you will visit a small waterfall to refresh yourself with its fresh and pure water from the core of the jungle.
Tonight, you will prepare your own organic chocolate made by the best cocoa in the world, "Arriba Nacional." The whole process includes cleaning, roasting, and grinding the cocoa.

DAY 3

We will have a canoe ride across the calm waters of Huachiyaku river, which is an affluent of the Napo river. Here we can observe a variaty of birds like the prehistoric "hoatzin" bird. During this trip, you will be able to take spectacular photographs taking advantage of the mirror effect of the water with the Amazonian landscape. Then you will have recharged energies to go back home.

* Depending on the weather, these activities may vary.
